Hanging with the kids

This morning I went to young granddaughters soccer game. It was great...she scored the first

goal. The won two to one and the other team was quite good. We went back to sons house for

lunch and I realized hubby was looking for me. So I went to Costco with daughter in law.

Something comes over me there. My eyes glaze over and I am compelled to buy almost

everything I can get my hands on. If one package of socks is a bargain, two would be better.

Who can eat those giant boxes of cereal before they get stale. There are just two of us for crying

out loud. And one package of pork chops will do for three meals and don't get me started on the

huge bags of ground beef. I bought a big package of miniature candies the fun sized bars, 135

pieces...last year we had twelve trick or treaters...guess who will be eating all those chocolate

"treats"?

Anyway, including the snuggley pj's, the total was one hundred thirty five dollars...and I hardly

bought anything...I did manage to eat my way around the store...stuff I would never eat...veggie

meatballs...gross...chicken pecan salad...pretty good...speedy would love it. Mango chutney...

delicious but very expensive...frozen cream puffs...I managed to hit that one 3 times. Anyway

after I wadelled out of there we went into the liquor store part and I got Merlot and pinot grigio

wine...another twenty six dollars.

By the time we got back to the house the girls had showered and were off to bigger and

better things. Next time I will actually hang with the kids..
